TBWA\HAKUHODO planned and produced “WE ARE VIRUSES” PROJECT, a project to promote hand washing among children by educating them on the correct knowledge of viruses.

We designed characters for six viruses (COVID-19, influenza, Norovirus, Ebola, SARS, and Adenovirus). By visualizing and characterizing the invisible viruses, the characteristics and symptoms of these viruses can be easily understood by children, answering the simple question of “Why do I have to wash my hands?” with a fun song and animation.

In addition, POCKET SOAP will be released in winter 2020. Through the virus-shaped soap, children can see the virus disappearing from their hands. The product is designed to be used up in 30 seconds, the generally recommended hand washing time, and is designed to make it easy to carry and wash hands in the correct way.
