Mynavi – Have a Seat Project
OUTLINE
The “Have a Seat Project” sheds light on the long hours of standing required by cash register attendants in Japanese retail stores that stems from the traditionally overzealous approach to hospitality that Japan is known for. This project aims to create a more tolerant society for workers through creativity, and at its core is a uniquely designed stool. The highly space efficient stool offers cash register attendants a surface to sit on, while also being easy for retailers to install in their stores. By providing these chairs for free to many companies and retailers across Japan, Mynavi garnered much attention and spearheaded a culture that is more humane to part-time workers.
