TBWA\HAKUHODO wins D&AD White Pencil for SHELLMET from the world’s most prestigious benchmark for creativity, the D&AD Awards

Tokyo, May 22nd – TBWA\HAKUHODO are pleased to announce the win of one D&AD Pencil for SHELLMET from the highly regarded hallmark of excellence in design and advertising, the D&AD Awards 2024. SHELLMET was awarded the White Pencil award in the Impact category for Design given to exceptional projects that use the power of creativity to drive behavioral, environmental or societal change, in recognition of its outstanding design and contribution to environmental conservation.

 

SHELLMET, the environmentally-friendly and sustainable helmet made from discarded scallop shells has already been recognized for its innovative design and technology by numerous awards and accolades both from within Japan and overseas.

 

Standing for integrity and true excellence in commercial creativity, the D&AD Awards are given out by the London UK-based educational charity ‘D&AD’ and considered one of the most influential and prestigious awards celebrating the best in design and advertising. Enjoying a long heritage and proud legacy, this year’s D&AD Awards marks its 62nd year in existence, where 350 designers and creators from over 50 countries judged entries across all 40 categories.
