TBWA\HAKUHODO Inc. announced the appointment of Yuzo Sato (current Executive Vice President and Chief Performance Officer) as its new President and CEO, effective April 1, 2015.

Sato, who joined Hakuhodo Inc. in 1986, headed the account management department in charge of media at Hakuhodo G1 for four years since 2002 before he was appointed the corporate officer and the director of the media management division at TBWA\HAKUHODO on its foundation in 2006. He was later named the company’s CFO and the Division Head of the Nissan Business Unit, making significant contributions to its business development. Along with his latest appointment as the new President and CEO of TBWA\HAKUHODO, he will also become the corporate officer at Hakuhodo Inc.

At the same time, current President and CEO Ichiro Zama will become the Chairman of the company, while also continuing to serve as the senior corporate officer at Hakuhodo Inc.

The appointments will come into effect on April 1, 2015, after the approval at TBWA\HAKUHODO extraordinary shareholders’ meeting and board meeting scheduled for the same day.
